Protein Powder Made Differently | Beef protein (unlike whey and plant based options) is non-inflammatory, meaning you get all the benefits of protein powder; muscle growth, strength gain and fat loss*, without the bloating and discomfort. Not only this, but our grass-fed beef protein is highly bioavailable (absorbable) and also contains other nutrients beef is known for, such as; collagen, gelatine and a variety of vitamins and minerals.
Unflavoured has just one ingredient, grass-fed beef. That means it’s free from; dairy, whey, soy, fillers, artificial sweeteners and preservatives… all ingredients that are unnecessarily included in lots of protein powders today. Being made from beef and unflavoured, means it does have a mild beef taste, however this is easily masked when mixed with other ingredients in a shake or meals.
Our cattle are grass-fed, regeneratively raised, antibiotic/hormone free and come from farms that go above and beyond... following standards for biological diversity, climate impact and animal welfare.
Each bag contains 1kg of grass-fed beef protein, which equals 50 20g servings or 25 40g servings. Each serving contains 19.26 grams of complete protein containing all 9 essential amino acids.

Although we always encourage everyone to take a food first approach to nutrition, protein powders can be really handy in the modern world when we’re often short on time. However a lot of people struggle with inflammation, bloating and discomfort from classic protein powder sources that are readily available today, such as; whey, soy and other plant based options. Our grass-fed beef protein is non-inflammatory, and not only contains 19.26 grams of complete protein* per serving, but it’s also packed with collagen, gelatine and other key micronutrients. This means it provides all the classic benefits of protein powders; aiding in muscle growth, strength gain and fat loss, whilst having non of the down sides. And in addition, the collagen and gelatine support connective tissue (tendons, ligaments and joints) as well as hair, skin and nails. Whilst the wide array of micronutrients it contains (vitamins B6, B9 and B12 as well as the minerals Zinc, Selenium and Iron) help with a variety of bodily processes and general wellbeing. Our beef protein is sourced from KRAV certified farms in Sweden. KRAV is Sweden’s gold standard for food sustainability. All farms with the KRAV certification operate to organic standards (meaning no un-natural pesticides or artificial fertilisers), and also follow extra requirements around biological diversity, climate impact, animal welfare and working conditions for employees. The consideration these farms have for nature, climate, animals and people makes them the perfect partners for us at APE.

How to use
Consume 1-2 servings per day. Each serving is 20g (equivalent to 3 heaped spoons of the APE scooper). For each 20g serving, mix with 75-125ml of liquid (raw milk is our favourite). Add the powder before the liquid for best blending. Being made from beef and unflavoured, means it does have a mild beef taste, however this is easily masked when mixed with other ingredients in a shake or meals. That said, we've had a lot of feedback from people saying they like the taste as is, and you can see some of this in the reviews below.
When to use
Beef protein can be used at any time throughout the day to increase protein intake.
Dr Gabrielle Lyon, a leading researcher in the areas of protein, muscle health and the importance of muscle mass for longevity strongly suggests that for optimal health we should be eating 1.2-1.6 grams of protein per kg of bodyweight per day as a minimum, which is well above the standard recommendation. Whereas Peter Attia MD author of #1 New York Times Bestseller, Outlive: The Science and Art of Longevity recommends 2g per kg of bodyweight per day.
